Here I provide an introduction to my Life-Choice Memoir Assignment and links to the relevant blog posts that served as part of my writing process.
When we first assigned this assignment I thought immediately to write it about a different topic in my life until I looked at my blog post comments and remembered how my professor had suggested that i should save one of my answer's. He recommended that I save this answer because of how he thought it was interesting enough to become my main topic for this assignment. At first, I was a little intimidated by this assignment until i had remembered that this assignment is about me and not some topic that I have moderately or little interest in.
To be honest i know myself and I'm not a very good writer. That gift was passed to my first born sister unfortunately. So I tried my best to explain my story and situation as best as I could and once I was done. I was actually impressed thinking that this was one of my best writing pieces that I had ever made. Until i gave it to my older sister to revise and she pointed out all of my "rookie" mistakes.
One major aspect that i think helped me a lot to polish this writing to what it is now was especially due to my professors mandatory conference that we had. Where we discussed my overall work in the class and how I could improve on my work. This conference was the most important to me because of how much help he gave me and insight into really finishing up my assignment to what it is right now.
