11/30/2017 0 Comments Research Paper ReflectionIn this blog post I will be talking about my process of writing my research paper. You can read my paper using this link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OnsztKxwVa0fbD4QcVzbLAElHYjZBlQDMDJGeWMvQ1w/edit?usp=sharing
Heres also a link to the Reflective Writing Video and my Life Choice Memoir Who did you work with to compose your research paper? I primarily did the paper alone but I did show my older sister when I was finished so she could edit it for me. What rhetorical mode and genre are you using? I am using the genre of a research paper, and also the mode of argumentation. When did you write this project? Good approach? I wrote my research paper two days before the paper was due and no it was definitely not a good approach. I should've started the paper earlier. Why did you choose to write about your chosen topic? Good choice? I chose to write about paid vacations because i could directly relate to it. About a week or two before we were assigned the assignment I was denied vacation time for black friday because apparently it's a mandatory shift if you were scheduled for it. I think it was a great choice. How did it feel to write this argument ("during, after, and since")? Do you have any "if only" moments that can help you revise the draft? At first it felt difficult to not just write about my personal experience the whole time but instead i had to at least include a good amount of information that I actually researched. I feel a lot better about the paper now especially that I'm not nearly as stressed out as I was when I was doing it. I don't think I do to be honest. How will you revise your argument? I think that I will mainly edit all of my grammar mistakes and then extend my conclusion and try to add as much more information and support as I can.

An Argument. This blog post is about the movie "Where To Invade Next?" that we watched in class. This post will be a lot different compared to last week especially based on how last weeks post was a summary of the film and the main idea about it. I will also be talking about a total of only three of the many topics covered in the movie.
Topic: Paid Holidays Research Question: Should the United States Government grant multiple weeks of guaranteed paid vacation? Argument: I think that yes, the government and almost all companies should be required to provide every employee with at least two or maybe three weeks of paid vacation. To me, two or three weeks of paid vacation seems right about the sweet spot for this. Especially because it could be a possibility that if you were to have even more weeks of vacation i think their pay could go down. Topic: Our Prison System Research Question: Should the United States change their prison system to be more humane and comforting to the prisoners? Argument: I also think that yes, the United States should implement more comfortable prisons and jails all throughout the whole country. I also think that we should try and lower the overall number of prisoners in prisons and jails. Most people are actually incarcerated because of only marijuana possession which personally i think is ridiculous but that's my opinion. I also think that the United States should still implement the death penalty but only for very major crimes. But for anything other than murder, rape, and other high offending crimes I think its unnecessary. Topic: Tuition Free College Research Question: Should the United States provide Tuition Free Colleges to its people? Argument: Yes, as a current college student I believe that this would be monumental to improving our country as a whole. Even though the current college I'm attending isn't very expensive compared to most. A price is a price and little to any people my age or even their families can promise them debt free educations. 11/6/2017 1 Comment Summary of Where to Invade NextSummary of Where to Invade Next [: Please complete the following: Interpret and annotate Where to Invade Next.
